Generic platform for plc-tec’s application specific products

The PLUS Product Platform is the generic platform which realizes the PLUS base technology for the products:

Powerline PLUS Train Backbone Node

PLUS AVIONICS Gateway

PLUS Consist Network Gateway

PLUS Smart Grid Gateway

It consists of the PLUS hard- and firmware

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with
- FPGA running the PLUS firmware
- Discrete components for analog frontend
- Capacitive coupler as interface to the power line
Ruggedized housing and standardized connectors to allow PLUS-V2 to be used in harsh industrial environments
Ready for integration into customers’ product environment and for testing the PLUS protocol in industrial field trials
PCB designs with different form factors possible depending on customer’s needs

PLUS Product Platform as standalone box (Version V2)

PLUS Product Platform as board for integration into system devices
(current version V2 with flex print – weight 70 grams)

Data Interfaces

Interface to application equipment through available Ethernet and/or CAN interface or GPIOs

Configuration Management

Remote configuration updates, status information reading, and firmware updates via the PLUS Management Data Service (MDS) over the attached Ethernet network. MDS allows all the PLUS modems in the network to be configured from any one single modem.
